Academics
Our methodology of teaching originates from the fountain of school’s philosophy. We perceive our role derived from knowledge of a more fundamental nature. It is derived from our understanding of children. So how do we understand children and thereby our role? We attempt to understand children through various lenses. We analyze their life stage with a Biological lens, a Psychological lens and a Societal lens. For us, this is what giving individual attention is all about. Hygiene factors like maintaining optimum student teacher ratio is obviously present. Societal, cultural and increasingly global dynamics form the context of understanding. This impacts our working in various ways. Questions like- what are the emerging value sets relevant in today’s world, success in today’s world, how is technology affecting the way we are living and more so how we will live tomorrow are constantly pondered, debated upon by the faculty. We at Homerton believe in the six skills which every student needs to be equipped with to thrive in the 21st Century.
